SMTP Dialog Box

This dialog box is used to configure SMTP settings for a proper connection with your SMTP server provider. This ensures a correct delivery of your emails. You can also edit existing SMTP configurations in this dialog box.

NOTE

An SMTP configuration is required. The OEM Admin must create an SMTP configuration with the OEM's SMTP settings. If needed, contact to your Ayla Customer Success Manager for an Ayla-managed SMTP configuration.

Enter or edit the information requested in the SMTP dialog box as follows:

  1. For Name, type a name for this SMTP configuration.
  2. For Server Address, type the IP address of the SMTP server.
  3. For Server Port, enter the SMTP server port.
  4. For SMTP Domain, type the SMTP server domain address.
  5. For Authentication Type, select the type of authentication from the drop-down list. Options are:
    • Plain
    • Login (this is the login required for authentication)
    • crm_md5
  6. For Enable StartTLS Auto?, select one of the following answers in the drop-down list:
    • True (to apply TLS security automatically to SMTP messages)
    • False (to use your own security)
  7. Click CREATE to save this SMTP configuration, CANCEL to close the dialog box without saving, or CLEAR to remove your entries in this dialog box.

How to get here on the dashboard:

  1. Click OEM Profile in the Navigation Panel and then the SMTP Settings tab.
  2. Click the NEW SMTP CONFIGURATION button or the VIEW/EDIT button if you are editing an existing SMTP configuration.
